Daniel Pesu

The artist Daniel Pesu was born in the Karelian town of Sortavala (today the town belongs to Russia) and a great deal of his artistic work has some connection with his home region. Pesu studied at the Finnish Art Society’s Drawing School from 1913 until 1916, and he was also a private student of the artist Berndt Lagerstam. Pesus’ artistic production covered a wide range of genres, including postcards, watercolours, drawings and even poetry.
