https://cometofinland.fi/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/OD39_arkturus-polaris-CTF20171204-LOW.jpg10801512s/s Arcturus rakennettiin jo vuonna 1899, ja se liikennöi reittiä Kööpenhaminaan 1920- ja 1930-luvuilla. Yhdessä Suomen merenkulun suurimmista tragedioista s/s Arcturus kolaroi myös FÅA:n omistaman s/s Oberonin kanssa sumuisella Kattegatilla vuonna 1930 – Oberonin matkustajista 43 jäi meren vangeiksi. Aluksien kapteenit olivat vieläpä veljeksiä, mikä luo onnettomuudelle vielä yhden julman ulottuvuuden.
