About the artwork

Forget about the summer, it’s still the winter which is Finland’s trump card.

Apart from ski competitions in for example Lahtis and Kuopio it was mainly the State Railways that promoted the Finnish winter, with new travel posters every season. The tourists were to make no mistake: if they were going to Lapland they were to take the night train. No more discussion.

So stop for a moment and drink in the vim of this poster:

Ok, ready?

Now ponder the following key questions (we have helped you by giving you the right answers):

Snow is wonderful? Yes.

Lapland is jaunty? Yes.

Taking the night train to Lapland is great? Yes.

So what are you waiting for? Go north!

About the product

They say that the forest is the green gold of Finland. That’s why we have wooden versions of our postcards. They are, naturally enough, printed in Finland – on Finnish birch plywood.
Best of all: You can use them as ordinary postcards! Thickness: 3 mm.

These are prints that stand the test of time. Every product is unique – it’s printed on real wood! So please note: variations in colour and structure might appear.
