In the words of the artists:
VombatCombat joined the project with a pleasure. Poster art entails the right to think big and bold. We love it! With the poster we wish to show that Finnish women are strong and independent, full of sisu, that is perseverance.
We ignore the xenophobia that has recently spread in Finland and present a dark-skinned mermaid. She demonstrates that Finland welcomes refugees with love and open arms.
Surely travel posters can’t simply remain a cry from the past?
Absolutely not. We live in a completely visual world where the picture is stronger than ever. That’s why the following question hit us: How would contemporary artists depict Finland of today?
We could not let that thought go, so since 2016 we continuously arrange international travel poster contests and we’ve also asked specific graphic designers and artists to create new Finnish travel posters for us.
So now Finland once again attracts travellers with glamour and cries of joy from paradise.

About the product
They say that the forest is the green gold of Finland. That’s why we have wooden versions of our postcards. They are, naturally enough, printed in Finland – on Finnish birch plywood.
Best of all: You can use them as ordinary postcards! Thickness: 3 mm.
These are prints that stand the test of time. Every product is unique – it’s printed on real wood! So please note: variations in colour and structure might appear.
