Sven Henriksen was born in Frederiksberg in Denmark. He was a rather unusual Danish artist for his time, as he specialized almost exclusively in posters. He was very productive and mainly made other than travel posters, but he still managed to make posters for, among other things, the Danish State Railways (DSB). Henriksen died in the middle of his career after an accident in his studio. He stabbed himself in the nail and died of blood poisoning.
